Prof. Dr. Bilgi Baca is the founder and visionary behind BB Global Health. With over two decades of experience in general surgery, he established our organization with the mission to provide world-class medical care and connect patients with the finest medical professionals. As a professor at Acıbadem University and practicing surgeon at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital in Istanbul, he continues to lead by example in surgical excellence.

Prof. Dr. Bilgi Baca is an internationally recognized expert in advanced gastrointestinal, colorectal, and robotic surgery. With over two decades of clinical and academic experience, he currently serves as a full professor at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University in Istanbul and practices at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital – one of Türkiye’s leading private healthcare institutions. His practice spans a wide range of minimally invasive surgical procedures with particular focus on robotic surgery and oncological surgery including esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatobiliary, thyroid and breast cancer surgery, pelvic surgery, and complex abdominal wall reconstructions.
He is among the pioneers of robotic surgery in Türkiye, and one of the key opinion leaders shaping the development of advanced surgical techniques in Europe and the Middle East.

Between 2009 and 2010, Prof. Dr. Baca served as a research fellow at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, where he further enhanced his expertise in minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery and clinical research.

Prof. Dr. Bilgi Baca is a certified proctor and trainer in robotic surgery, with a particular focus on colorectal and complex abdominal procedures using the da Vinci® Xi platform.
He has proctored and mentored dozens of surgeons across Türkiye, the Middle East, and Europe, helping establish robotic surgery programs in several leading hospitals.
